About Forge of the Wordsmiths

Forge of the Wordsmiths is a network for aspiring or working novelists, poets, screenwriters, songwriters. playwrights, publishers, literary agents, journalists, booksellers, librarians and anyone else involved in the field of writing in Scotland.

Forge of the Wordsmiths aims to bring together the disparate parties of writing in Scotland in an environment where writing is brought to life and people can form genuinely fruitful relationships.

Forge of the Wordsmiths aims to showcase and promote not only the new and undiscovered jewels of writing in Scotland but also to celebrate the best of international literature, poetry and writing.

Forge of the Wordsmiths hopes that an egalitarian and open culture in the Scottish writing scene will revive the sparks of creativity and inspiration that will make the Scottish Literary Scene the most talked-about in the world.
